April Chamberlin

April Chamberlin

April Chamberlain grew up in rural eastern Colorado and has lived in Pueblo and Parker since 2004. She completed her master’s degree in nursing from Colorado State University where she graduated with Honors.

April is known for her dedication, compassion, and deep understanding of mental illness. In addition to her masters, she is a registered nurse (RN) and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

When she’s not helping patients, she enjoys an active lifestyle, spending time with her two rottweilers, Avery and Beau. She enjoys time with family, listening to live music, and when possible, trips to the Florida gulf.

April’s path into being a mental health provider started close to home, with an immediate family member with severe mental illness who struggled to find care. Additionally, after spending nine years in emergency medicine as an RN, she noticed daily that mental health clients are a highly vulnerable population and are often left untreated. There were very limited, affordable resources for clients who came into the ER for psychiatric care or issues such as panic attacks, depression, delusional disorders, or substance abuse. These experiences motivated her to start Clarity Mental Health.

April and her team provide medication evaluations and medication-assisted interventions for the reduction of symptoms. They offer medication management of a wide variety of symptoms, including anxiety, depression, post-partum depression, bipolar, mood disorders, opioid and alcohol addiction.

As a mental health provider, April prides herself on taking the time to listen, understand, and respect the values and concerns of her patients. Her goal is to help patients improve their quality of life by conducting a thorough diagnostic evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and treatment recommendations that are up to date with current research and evidence-based practices.
